Marking its 15th year, Miami Beach Pride returns once again next month for two weeks of celebrating the unique spirit and culture of the LGBTQ+ community.
What began in 2009 as a relatively small gathering of 15,000 people has exploded into an international extravaganza attracting more than 170,000 members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, along with their friends, allies, and supporters.
Sixteen days of events
The festivities kick off Friday, March 31, 2023, at 6 p.m. with the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at Miami Beach City Hall and conclude on Sunday, April 16, 2023 with the grand finale Pride Parade at Ocean Drive.
Highlights include:
- Miss Miami Beach Pride Pageant at Exchange Miami, Tuesday, April 4
- Pride Movie Night at Rooftop Cinema Club, Thursday, April 6
- Easter Family Picnic at Pride Park, Saturday, April 8
- Queer Art Showcase at Moxy Hotel, Monday, April 10
- Pride Festival Day 1 at Lummus Park, Saturday, April 15

Extracurricular activities
In addition to the official events, unofficial festivities will spill over everywhere, on the beach as well as the mainland.
For example, there’ll be a SHE TEA pool party for women on Sunday, April 16 at the High Bar Pool + Bar + Sky in Miami Beach.
And Miami’s gay bars and South Beach clubs will be hosting numerous satellite parties and drag brunches throughout the city.
The Pride Festival at Lummus Park is free and open to the public, but VIP tickets will provide special access to and exclusive amenities at several events, including Festival Days. They can be purchased in advance.
