Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, recently had an exclusive photoshoot at the Historic Alfred Dupont Building. The venue’s historic and elegant ambiance was the perfect backdrop for capturing her beauty and grace.
Sheynnis Palacios, a 23-year-old from Managua, Nicaragua, is not only a beauty queen but also a passionate mental health advocate and audiovisual producer. Normally, she prefers working behind the camera, but her drive to address global issues brought her into the spotlight. To support her education in communications, Sheynnis worked in her mom’s snack business. When the business struggled, her mother moved north for work, leaving Sheynnis to support her grandmother and brother.
Sheynnis’s platform as Miss Universe focuses on mental health, inspired by her own struggles with anxiety. She launched “Understand Your Mind,” a TV initiative where she interviews mental health experts to promote emotional care. Her ambition is to serve humanity by running a newsroom and producing impactful content for global brands.
