About
A local icon that never followed the rules of its time
Built in 1939, the Alfred I. duPont Building began as a bold bet on Miami’s future. Over the years, the space has transformed from a bank to a Navy command center to a cultural icon.
It now stands as one of the city’s most distinctive event venues — marble floors, ornate ironwork, and a 36-foot hand-painted ceiling that stops people mid-sentence.
Over 20 years and hundreds of events later, it’s clear the building still does what it was built to do: make an impression.

There’s a reason people walk through our bas-relief brass elevator doors and immediately start imagining what’s possible: original stonework, historic craftsmanship, and custom design elements you won’t find anywhere else.
Here, a full guest list only adds to the energy. We welcome up to 400 seated guests or 1,100 for a more free-flowing cocktail-style celebration, so the experience feels expansive without becoming crowded.
Known as Miami’s most outstanding work of 1930’s Depression Moderne architecture, our space carries the look and presence that newer venues spend years trying to imitate.
